On Saturday, September 27th, the Millinocket Elks celebrated the retirement of its long time "Janitorial Engineer". Al worked for the Elks for 27 years, some of which he worked for the school system also. Al's wife Bea and their kids; Al "Babe", Jeff, Dale, Mark, Mary Kay and Dorine were there along with many of his friends. Senator Steve Stanley presented Al with a proclamation from the State of Maine for having worked so long. The Elks presented to Al a gold watch, a plaque and $2,700"$100 for each year he worked" so he could take Bea on a long overdue vacation. The Millinocket Elks and Al's friends wish him a long and happy retirement.
